The glasses saved my eyesight. We were going down one of the main highways from Ramadi to Fallujah when an IED blew up next to my LAV25. I was engulfed in flames. I received shrapnel to the arms and face. The CDI smoke gray lenses have burnt spots where either hot metal or tar hit.
